RESCHEDULED: Journal of Corporation Law Symposium
The Journal of Corporation Law will host a Symposium on Friday, October 16, at Sidley Austin Law in Chicago. CLE credits may be available.
The keynote speaker will be SEC Commissioner Hester Pierce. There will be four panels discussing different aspects of the interaction between law and blockchain. Those four panels include the following: How to Regulate Blockchain, Blockchain and Capital Markets, Corporate Governance Issues Exposed by Blockchain, and Blockchain and Changes to Contract Law. There will be academics and practitioners on all panels to get a diverse range of views.
This event is not open to the public and has a limited number of seats. People wishing to attend will need to RSVP to JCL leadership.
The advisor for this year's Journal is UI College of Law alumnus Joel Telpner. The JCL Editor-in-Chief is Alexandra Newland.
