There is a change in the works for Iowa’s Intellectual Property Law Society. At their first meeting of the 2017-18 academic year, the student-run interest group announced they would be restructuring their mentorship program to improve outreach.

On Friday, April 21, professor Jake Linford, an Assistant Professor at Florida State University, gave a rousing presentation on Consumer Perception and Trademark Law. Hosted by the IPLS, Professor Linford’s presentation drew upon linguistic research to question some fundamental concepts in trademark law.
