On October 23 – 24, 2014, the Iowa Law Review will celebrate its centennial volume with a symposium honoring the work of antitrust scholar Professor Herbert Hovenkamp.
On Saturday, October 4, 2014, the Innovation, Business and Law Center hosted a one-day seminar on the Essentials of Patent Litigation. Susan H. Griffen, a partner in the Washington, DC, office of global IP law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, taught the course.
On Friday, September 5, 2014 the Intellectual Property Law Society (IPLS) held its first meeting of the new school year.
Commissioner Mark Wetjen of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission met with students for bagels and coffee this morning to discuss his career in public service. The CFTC is a federal agency that “polices the derivatives markets for various abuses and works to ensure the protection of customer funds.”
In March, the Innovation, Business and Law Center welcomed the Honorable William C. Bryson as a jurist-in-residence at the Iowa College of Law.
